On July 18, 2025, nearly seventeen South African students from Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College, accompanied by faculty members, visited GreenPower Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “GreenPower”), a leading Chinese new energy enterprise, for an intensive and immersive learning journey into smart manufacturing and green energy technologies. The visit, part of the China-Africa Joint New Energy Talent Development Program, aims to deepen international educational cooperation and promote green technology exchange.
Guided by GreenPower staff throughout the tour, the students visited the company’s modern smart manufacturing workshop, product R&D center, energy storage system testing laboratory, and PV + storage application demonstration center. By closely observing the automated production lines and learning about the core manufacturing processes of energy storage batteries and solar inverters, the students gained a direct and profound understanding of China’s advanced intelligent manufacturing capabilities in the new energy industry.
“This is my first time stepping into a real new energy factory—every stage reflects precision and innovation,” said one of the South African students. “GreenPower’s technology is not only advanced but also highly practical, making it particularly suitable for addressing power instability in our country.”
During the follow-up seminar, GreenPower’s technical experts provided detailed presentations on the company’s solutions in residential energy storage, commercial & industrial PV-storage systems, and smart microgrids, sharing real-world application cases across multiple African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, and South Africa. In the interactive session, students actively engaged, asking questions and discussing key topics such as battery safety, system compatibility, and localized service support.
“This small-group visit allowed us more opportunities for one-on-one exchanges—the insights gained far exceeded our expectations,” said the faculty leader. “It was not just a technical learning experience, but also a meaningful cross-cultural connection.”
GreenPower has long been committed to advancing global sustainability, with operations spanning Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America. In recent years, the company has strengthened collaboration with vocational institutions at home and abroad, offering practical training platforms for international students and supporting new energy talent development along the Belt and Road Initiative.
“We’re not just exporting products—we’re also sharing technology and vision,” said a GreenPower brand representative. “We welcome more young people from around the world to visit GreenPower, understand ‘Made-in-China’ intelligence, and jointly participate in the global green transition.”
Though small in scale, this visit holds profound significance. It deepened African youth’s understanding of Chinese new energy technologies and laid a solid foundation for GreenPower’s future talent collaboration and technological localization in African markets. Moving forward, the company will continue to open its doors to factory tours, technical training, and exchange programs, working hand-in-hand with global partners to build a carbon-neutral future.
